Heather Kreager, DVM
Dr. Kreager earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. During those years of undergraduate study, she also spent time working at the Lake Superior Zoo and volunteering with the local humane society and animal shelter. Following graduation, Dr. Kreager continued to develop her skills while working as a technician and receptionist in a small animal clinic before attending veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. Following her graduation in 2007, Dr. Kreager worked for a progressive small animal clinic where she developed her ability and skills while training under an ABVP board certified practitioner.
Chalco Hills Animal Hospital opened in February of 2013. Away from the clinic Dr. Kreager stays very busy with her two young sons Braden and Ronan and of course the furry four legged members of the family, a little Italian Greyhound named Nurmi, and very mischievous cat named Zuli.
Stephanie, LVT, Practice Manager
Steph is a 2007 graduate of Vatterott College’s Veterinary Technician program and became licensed in the state of Nebraska that same year.
She grew up on a farm near Nickerson, Nebraska (a small-town north of
Omaha) and has worked in small animal medicine for most of her career.
Steph has extensive experience in anesthesia, surgical and emergency protocols, and intensive care as well as preventative medicine, client care, and practice management.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, painting, gardening, and cooking. She currently lives in Omaha with her husband, Andy, their sons, Hunter and Parker, as well as their dogs, Sherman (a terrier mix) and Mabel (a Weimaraner), Rocky, the crested gecko, and Ninja, the guinea pig.
Brittany, Veterinary Assistant
Brittany grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
After working in a corporate job for two years she realized her passion was working with animals and so she started her journey working as a veterinary assistant.
She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster veterinary technician program and loves it. She enjoys spending her free time studying and relaxing with her Shiba Inu, Heidi.
